The Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) technology for rental was exhibited at the Hannover Fair, Germany. The centre-piece of the display was our SENTOR monitoring system that measures temperatures at millions of points on an optical fibre up to several km long. Of particular interest was its ability to be remotely accessed via the web-enabled browser software. This was demonstrated by an internet connection to an Australian manufacturing facility where a SENTOR system monitored process equipment in real time. A staff of six was kept busy answering the many enquiries from world-wide company executives who showed keen interest in our product. Industries as diverse as process control, electrical power and worm farms expressed the desire to incorporate our technology into their product range or use it in applications. We will be pursuing these opportunities vigorously.
